I spent years learning how to set goals,and achieve them.
God was never meant to be one part of the plan. He is the source. This is how that one realization reordered everything.
From goal-setting to legacy
I spent much of my life setting goals, making plans, and achieving them. I helped other people set theirs. I taught goal-setting. From the outside, the process worked.
But eventually I realized something was missing. God was present, but He was not at the center. He had become one item on the list, a spiritual goal sitting beside the others, instead of the source from which everything else should have flowed.
That realization changed everything. Not by making me set better goals, but by changing the order entirely.
God is not part of the plan.He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, and the One who sustains us in between.
Scripture describes Christ as living water and calls us to abide in him. He is not simply the One we turn to at the beginning of a plan; he is the source we remain connected to as the path unfolds.
When he is one line on the list, we carry the weight of the whole thing ourselves. When he is the source, we are no longer striving to create the entire path. We seek him, receive what he reveals, and take the next faithful step.
So the question stopped being: what do I want to accomplish? And it became: what is God already doing in my life, and how am I being invited to partner with him?
Why legacy?
Because legacy is received before it is left.
For years I hosted Legacy Board gatherings. They began as goal-setting evenings, good ones, warm ones. But over time the prayer grew longer, the teaching went deeper, and the boards stopped being lists of what we wanted. They became honest expressions of what God had already given and what we sensed Him revealing.
I did not simply create a better vision-board system. I realized the entire order had to change.
Created for Legacy
I am living this framework, not teaching it from the finish line.
Created for Legacy itself is being developed the same way. I do not know exactly what it will become. I am taking one step at a time, trusting God to direct the path and to develop the work. There is no finished blueprint here — only faithfulness to the next thing He shows me.
An invitation
If God is stirring something in you, you do not need the whole plan to begin.
Come and make space. Seek Him first, listen, and take the next faithful step — that is all any of us are asked to do today.
